Hi Lads
If you had an external corner to finish but the client did not want trim what would you do if the wall was not straight and you had to cut the tiles to get a level finish.

cant quite picture it,but probarbly would have levelled the wall,and any cut edges that may be visible(brickbond etc) can be turned around exposing the good edge.Then grout them in.

I mitre quite often by grinding off the backs of tiles therefore not touching the manufactured edge, that way you don't get a sharp corner if you leave a couple mm unground or so from the exposed edge.:thumbsup::thumbsup: Here is an example of this after the walls were squared up -
