First Stone Tiling Job - Honed Slate - Which Cutter?

HI - New to this forum.
This is my first 'Hard' Tile flooring job - Laying 18mtrs 12mm Copper Honed Slate Tiles on a Conservatory Floor. I've been in Flooring for 12 years - doing Amtico and Karndean, so basics should'nt be a problem.
What I'm stuck on is which cutter to buy??
I've looked at the Cordless 12V Makita Wet Saw - whiich looks pretty compact, But, my 'tool crazy ' mind keeps looking at a Rubi Wet Saw .....😕

Any advice or swaying - is greatly appreciated from you seasoned Pro's.

Hi mate, those makita cordless are good on ceramics, wouldnt use one on natural stone, get yourself a wet cut, depends how much tiling you are going to do, to the cost of buying a rubi, as there are some cheaper wet cutters about. good luck

hi and welcome. i have used a rubi d200 wet saw for yrs now and is a very powerful machine, not cheap but good piece of kit also have rubi dw250n wet rail cutter for large stone floors also good machine.... good luck with job mate............

We have a cheaper alternative to the Rubi rail cutter QEP yellow cutter £199.Personally I would have the Rubi if I had large format work to do long term🙂
