Was going to do it today but thought better of it, done other jobs in the ensuite instead, Monday seems a better option more time to finish off, got shower enclosure and floor to grout, approx 600x 2400 m/m mosaic in shower enclosure rest 600x 300 field tiles.
How soon to I need to clean off, don't want to grout to big an area then be struggling to get the stuff off if it's going off fast, it,s also a glitter grout, 2 part.
What about sponges, I was thinking of using them small kitchen ones with the scourers on the back and if they get sticky just dump them.

For me its a barrier cream job as I react to the grout!
That's why I have a Son to do it!
Ardex sponges and Ardex scouring pad are the tools needed and a stiff grouting squegee.
The length of time to leave it on can only be judged by the temperature and drying conditions in the room - I'd test area 1 wall first after 15mins.
Try to leave the wall as clean as possible on first wash then when hazy dry - a final clean wash with warm water usually does the trick.
Have fun.

We ( my brother and myself ) were doing a pot each, approx 6m2 total then washing off, this was this summer in Chiswick ( damned hot ) if your nervous then take it steady, as said, grout one wall and test / time to see how long is needed. Get some decent ex-foliating pads for the first wash off of the excess grout, you may need a few sponges, it eats them alive lol :D We had about 200m2 to do in total, 50 on the floor, 100 on the walls, and 50 on the ceiling :yikes: :incazzato: :yikes:

Don't ever be tempted to use those on any grout job mate, epoxy or not (especially the green ones) the scourers break up and leave bits in your grout:thumbsup:

Something I never think about really because no matter what happens if we do a regrout job it is only ever on natural stone and we are usually going to hone & polish it anyway so sealers don't really play a part in it anyway during regrouts however we always seal afterwards with an Aqua Mix Sealer usually Sealers Choice Gold.

I am not smiling regarding you using Aqua Mix products no one can stop the inevitable happening Dave:hurray:

What about on ..say.. A porcelain tile with a riven surface..?....so many new comers are having probs with grout residue...

Do aqua mix do a temp sealer than will help prevent grout from holding in the surface pitting..personaly i don't get any probs but would be good info
for our newer members to tiling to conscider..
Stone tiles no probs...and yes i agree sealers choice gold is very good.....i used the penertrating sealer but no where as good as SCG..

So from me...a  for aqua mix sealers....deffo better than getting high on solvents..

The Aqua Mix Floor Shine & Hardner would be best IMO as a temporary sealer for Porcs especially if they have a riven surface. My only caveat is apply it sparingly and try not to get it into the joints which is easy if you use a GOOD QUALITY PAINT PAD and not a roller. It is also very reasonable price wise at only £7.70 + VAT for 946mls or £21.99 for a US Gallon (3.785 Litres) coverage is around 20M2 for the litre size so 80M2 for the US Gallon.

Just finished this morning, not the easiest stuff to work with, went at it really hard thinking the stuff was going to go off quick, 3 hrs later no sign of it going off, is this normal?

It will have set tomorrow as long as you have cleaned it off properley don't worry about it. The norm these days with epoxies seems to be that they initially take longer to set than fast setting modified grouts. Certainly the full curing time is longer on epoxy in most cases
