go with fastflex. one bag+liquid will easily cover it. (and bal has the added bonus that it actually works). As for the toilet... if you can, take it out and refit it on top of the tiles. Its a LOT easier than cutting rounf it.
Plumbing a toilet is really easy. Dont be afraid of basic plumbing, its really straight forward.
