Those tiles have less than 2% contact with the adhesive. They have used the wrong method for spreading the adhesive resulting with the failure. They should have used a notched trowel and back skimmed the tiles......

I am guessing that also along with imncorrect fixing, you say that no primer was used... it looks like most of the adhesive is stuck to the floor and not the back of the tile. Priming would help adhesion.

The spreading method you have advised is that for all tiles or just quartz.

mmmmmmmmm looking at the pics .yes the adh should of had better coverage .but to peak it would have to be expansion of the tile ,i take it there is no movement joint around the perimeter of the tiled area

Jenson - I'd post your pictures in a new thread so you can have more input from other members who may have already replied to the original Question!
Quartz is a different type of material and requires a specific adhesive.
If you have UFH it can affect this tile as well.
