Floor De bonding from floor

Sorry by slab i mean the substrate as in concrete ,and how long it was down before tiling ,and with all these areas there is no expansion joint.

Only me could get the wrong end of the stick with your question. With regards to the concrete slab all I know is that it is a "power floated concrete floor suitable to receive floor covering" (as stated in the spec). Not sure how long it was down for I do know that the house was built, bought and moved in to within 6 months.

Nah you should be right with the curing time on the concrete, best bet is to upload the pics when you can,one of the tile lifted would help .showing the adh on the concrete and the back of the tile,The power floats are good but can also give a glass effect to concrete (if the blades are lifted ) in hindsight they should leave the blades flat (flat trowel) so that tile adh has something to grab (reason i recommend primer as it gives a better bond ) Will wait on pics

As promised I have lifted 2 tiles and attached photographs of the floor and the back of the tile which is completley free from adhesive.

Those tiles have less than 2% contact with the adhesive. They have used the wrong method for spreading the adhesive resulting with the failure. They should have used a notched trowel and back skimmed the tiles......

I am guessing that also along with imncorrect fixing, you say that no primer was used... it looks like most of the adhesive is stuck to the floor and not the back of the tile. Priming would help adhesion.

mmmmmmmmm looking at the pics .yes the adh should of had better coverage .but to peak it would have to be expansion of the tile ,i take it there is no movement joint around the perimeter of the tiled area

Jenson - I'd post your pictures in a new thread so you can have more input from other members who may have already replied to the original Question!
Quartz is a different type of material and requires a specific adhesive.
If you have UFH it can affect this tile as well.
