Would it be possible to scrap the joists, infill with compressed hard core, DPM, 100mm insulation, screed, green screed adhesive and tile?

I offered a solution like that and she said she had enough of living in building site. Think it must must have took sometime to get to where there at with it now. Which is nice ecept for this part. Also the guy mention moving to Yorkshire a little while back.

Put her at ease, even show her this thread. It may sound more disruptive to her because she doesn't understand it all. It would be in her best interest to screed it, if possible.
