I see no reason for him to go....new mangers need time to do there thing..he has always stated that it will take time and it will.....you just cant turn a team around in a short space of time....

Fully agree with you Dave, look at Fergie at Man U, how many years did it take him...

Too many teams are easily influenced by the fans...and the toon has about the biggest fanatical one there is..( according to a survey ) .
It's time they listened more to a good manager than the rebellious fans.....
I think we will prob finish mid table and see wot next season brings...
We are not the only team needing good results..
look at boro and sunderland they have bad results as well but still keep there managers....

yep fully agree, think he will turn it around in time, must be given a chance but he needs fans to get off his back so he can get on with it.

Being a Toon army fan, with my lads, I reckon Sam needs time to settle into the job. The Toon fans are the most demanding in the prem, BUT, they must remember he has come in after several changes. Yes, he may of taken on to many African players, who will be off the the African league cup in the spring, but thats not the end of the World.

If they can play each match like they played Liverpool recently, they would be 4th or 5th at the moment, so its not just the manager, the players must come out and show the fans they are worth their pay. The talent is there. And Owen is making same short starts, it may pick them up.

big sam does need more time & cash to turn things around but he will not get it i blame the chairman he should of gave big sam more cash to spend when he gave him the job newcastle were rubbish & needed a big cash injection when he got the job you need to spend big money to finish in the top 6
