Going to the Dogs..

I'm going to Brighton tonight to the dog racing tonight...Haven't been for years, 10 of use are going for a meal, lots of drinking, lots of winning...:lol:

I used to go years ago as a young lad... my oldest brother used to race dogs...i didn't win much but the beer was good.

I use to like a night out down there but haven't been for quite a few years as the food became crap. It's hard when you're having a meal in the sky enclosure but try and get down and see the bookies on the track for best odds, they use to take bets at your table but the last time I was there they were making you go and use the tote by the bar.

I went with family a few years baclk and all the lads were studying form and watching the dogs whilst putting £5-10 on every race, my old dear decided to do one bet on a £3.60 special and won £350!:incazzato: Made us look like right fools!

Well it was a very good night...Lots of booze was had by all. Colour Republic you were right the food is no better....And they come to your table to take your bets, i came home £4 up...:lol:

I was at the dogs in Brighton some 8 years ago, we had done a ladies only Fitness club near to the Station. I phoned my daughter who was 9 at the time and got her to pick the numbers, my mates all had a laugh until she got the first 3 correct then they all wanted to know what she had said.

I came out £160 up and told them nothing...........:8:
