Good customers make the job easy

Just finished a bathroom install and i feel i need to express how having a great customer really helps in my line of work.
3 weeks solid work, £200.00 tip & a bottle of champagne.
Customers who listen to there installer advice. Excited on the daily progress made and provide coffee all the time to me is worth as much as the tip and champers.
I know my customer will never see this blog, but considering we have a recommended tilers thread i think we should have something for great customers.

how did you forn that bow with the blocks was that firstly fixed to the ply and then attatched? and what is the black rubbery material you used? thank you very much for those images mate its really impressive.

it's great when customers actually listen to the pro's, rather than "a mate down the pub, who's done a bit of tiling" (ie a splashback over a basin).

The ply was used as a template from the curve from the bath.


Ply template was fixed one side, until marmox boards were used.

Black rubber you can see is is more brown looking but it is Ardex tanking used on the walls then impey tanking on top.
Hope this makes sense, drinking budwiser with champagne. Love the fact you were looking so closely.

kind of mate so you fixed the blocks to the ply then added the ardex to opposite side, fixed and then removed the ply in order to fix the ardex to the other side? is that rite? very clever to use the same angle as the bath nice bit of fenshuay there haha.

With the Feng-shui, toilet would have probably been in the garden 200 m from the south facing wall due to the energy flow from the digital Aqualiza bath-shower filler!:lol:

B&Q £2.37 for 2.4m of 3"x2". Just bear in mind that the customer has spent nearly £10.000 + my labour for their bathroom. Puts into perspective the importance of doing a good job.

Did you do the ceiling panels? If so what are they like to fit and do they look ok. Just an option instead of the usual plaster.

Ceiling panels were used i think there made by swish. Really easy to fit, I usally build a frame to mount them on helps with keeping last row of tiles level.
