the 6 mm ply is no good either is the pva.it doesnt sound good at all to be honest

Rosie - don't think that flexible adhesive will solve the problem! And don't accept any thing but the whole lot up and redone. After a week you have this - its not going to get better only worse. A floating floor is weyroc/chipboard laid on insulation sheets.
