I USE REFINA PADDLE MIXER ON BOTH AND A BIG REFINA TUB MIN 20KG AT A TIME A MANS MIX!!!:lol::lol:

Used to use a small paddle in the drill but went back to mixing grout by hand with the bucket trowel, one less thing to clean.

use a small whisk for grout,i have one for dark colours and one for light colours, get them in the diy sheds or from tradetiler.
Ditto Bri. Only about £4 a piece and I use mine in a Bosch mains powered drill. Much quicker than by hand and a more consistant mix I find.

I hand mix grout cuts out air bubbles. Am I alone? Or will one of these super duper Rubi single paddles make a difference?

Prem - you have to have a variable speed drill - if your lowest speed is 300 revs i think that will do ( u r right if you only have a high speed drill i understand thats a real no no ref those bubbles) ... my old Bosch goes nice and slow - like me!

the only time i seem to get air bubbles is when i have a mix that is to wet!!!:yikes:

To hand mix grout is something the guy who trained me said to do. I've only used grout once mechanically mixed and it wasn't me mixing it was on someone else's job. the bubbles were awful.

My drill will go slow no problem so I shall get me one of them. cheers Stan
