Grout Removal

Hi guys , im doing a large re grouting job all floor work and trying to find the best way of doing it , angle grinder is the quickest but very very dusty ,the new dremmel is fairly dusty as well and the Fein is a bit slow for large area , just cant think of a good alternative , any ideas guys

Can't you use one the dust extractors fixed to the grinder and connected to a vacuum....

Hold a wet sponge at the back of your grinder guard & see if that helps.

Tried a14 mtr section today with my colleague holding the hoover over the grinder that worked to a point , not sure if hiring an industrial sized hoover would be the way to go

Try a grout cleaner first .

Can you suggest the best tool apart from grinder for a big grout removal job? Very expensive porcelain floor tiles! I have bosch multi tool but not man enough for 30 sq meters. 2-3 mm joints. Builder laid tiles and used Bal grout but either has mixed wrong or over wetted and now have massive vaiation in shades of light to very dark grey. Cheers

If the grout is sound then you should try a grout colourant rather than try to grind/rake out all that, so much easier.

If its Bal grout your in the clarts, always find variation in colour.
I suppose the ease or otherwise depends on how long the grouts been in.
