Grout residue

Hi.

I need some advice on what I can use to clean the grout off newly fitted tiles.

They are Porcelain and have a really rough finish to them. The grout has dried into them and I need some type of chemical to clean them.

I have tied quite a few things and although I will eventually get them clean, it is taking to long.

Yes, I have found the LTP grout remover excellent, but heard good things about the HG stuff

They are un-glazed and have a very rough finish.

The grout has got into every little bit and is a nightmare to clean. They look fine when wet, but dry back as if they haven't been touched.

I was thinking of putting the solution into a spray bottle and spraying the wall tiles and then scrubbing them after a few minutes. Is this the way to do it?

When they are wet they look great. Is there some type of seal that can be used to keep them in that wet look finish?

Brick acid. Be careful with it and test it on an inconspicuous area.

You could use a topical/urethane based sealer to effectively lock the wet look, be careful when applying these, they can become very sticky! keep any plastics/rubber soled shoes off the treated area for at least 4hrs for a quick cure (total time usually 24-36 hrs)
