BAL have 2 buckets with measure lines on the side, the small bucket gives you the water level for a 3.5 bag of grout this is perfect for the proportion you require, the bigger bucket is for adhesives and screed compounds, the little bucket would suit you sir:wink_smile:I have to confess, and DH may be able to help here, I am still not getting they same consistancy each time I mix up a batch of grout and to some extent I am flying a little blind as to how thick/thin/creamy it should be. Obviously different manufacturers and types of grout require different thicknesses, so I am finding this a bit of a "black art".

Hi grumpy mate....just add a little water at a time until you get the grout to required consistency... i.e. thick cream......dave....

just go half way up to the mark, and add half bag of powderHad one of these buckets Gaz, just had to throw it away as it cracked on me. 3.5kg seems a lot of grout to be mixing at once, that would go an awful long way on a bathroom wall with a 2mm grout line. Is this the secret to getting a good mix, then throwing the rest away?
