my second oldes daughter is in the hospital , some scum has spiked her drink last night when she was out with a frend and her frend was spiked to, at the mo, im feeling so mad and upset, apparently the police offered to lock her up for the night, well words fail me ,they are scum to for not looking in to it ,she is a respectful girl from a respectful family whats happening to this country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

make sure she buys her own drinks when she's out, and only go for bottles. that way she can keep her thumb over the top and it makes her less likely to be a target for spikers.

yes ive just been on to the police, they are going to the hospital now that i have made a complaint to speak to her,she is on a drip and still babbling, and the medics have taken blood for testing,im just v-worried at the mo

Dave insist that they investigate it mate, luckily for her she is in safe hands, we don't want to think about what might have happened.
They are far to quick to let these things drop. There must be cctv that they could look at.

My son's mate was spiked a few weeks back..what a state he was in....but it happens alot..the spikers get a kick out of watching their victims....A sad sad world we live in..

I used to do promotions for bars and clubs early this year and I saw a lot that shocked me. There are some good products on the market to seal up your bottle when your out so I would say anyone going out at this time of the year to give them a try as there are a lot of sad pathetic people around that just want to spoil other peoples fun.

Protect yourself and others from drink spiking. The Spikey Bottle Stopper fits inside the top of your bottle. The small hole through the centre is just the right size to slide a straw through.

seen those tops in a few edinburgh nightclubs that had spikers operating in them and were caught..they introduced the various sized tops and served them with every single drink sold,great idea. if leaving friends to go to toilet etc also take precautions even by using the beer mats and lay on top of your drink..sad world when you cant go out and enjoy a few drinks with pals,hope your daughters okay mate

Like John I knew nothing about this at all, I am deeply shocked, that is just so scary and appaling, what a frightening thing to have to go through for your daughter and all of you as a family.
It makes me so sad and angry that men don't protect women instead of playing stupid power trips, and it also makes me angry that others tend to think it's funny or macho.

My beautiful and intelligent stepdaughter lives and in Hull and is together with this really heavy looking dude and when I asked her why she said he makes her feels safe, as nobody would mess with with him or her while they are together, having had some bad experiences herself. What sad and primitive need in our day and age. And we scoff at other cultures how they treat their women? Shocking.

spiking drinks with "date-rape" drugs has been going for some time in the UK. certainly since 1998 when I first started going out and drinking properly. a whole plot in Hollyoaks was dedicated to raising awareness of it about 4 years ago. some of the drugs the sicko's use are drugs intended for use on animals and will often lead to infertility for those who have been spiked.
