HardieBacker Board

Will be using 6mm HardiebBacker board for the 1st time on a 17m2 floor.
Was wondering do you always use the joining tape between the boards, what screws do you use and do you prime the board before tiling ??

Plasterers scrim tape and wipe some addy over it, I use 25mm Turbo gold screws, i don't prime just wipe with a damp cloth

Always use the tape, skim a bit of the flex adheisive across the tape after you've run it across the joints, same adhesive you've used to stick the boards down. Use stainless screws with countersunk heads so the scew heads aren't proud of the boards. I do prime but not necessary

The tape needs to be Alkaline resistant,general scrim tape isn't always suitable.. adhesive can break down none Alkaline resistant tape..
