having trouble using new sigma

I am now trying to sell it.

ive been practing with it and still cant get use to it, im scared everytime i have to use it. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, i know its not the cutter but i feel that its just not the best tool for me.

Im going to go with a bigger model of what i have and whats familar with me: Ishii 660mm pro tradesman

Its a shame because its a great cutter, i know a tiler who a few years back got a sigma 93 , he couldnt get to grips with it and stuck it in his garage , i told him how to use it and practice with old tiles , once he got the knack he couldnt believe how good a cutter the sigma was and now is a convert..

What part of Melbourne ? I used to live in Pakenham SE suburbs.

Cant understand your issues with the Sigma, It was Melbourne where i got converted to the Church of Sigma , No other tiler I met used anything else .

just keep trying and you will soon get it right, once you do you will never change to another cutter.

I was cutting 300 x 600 porcelain with it today and it was working well, i was just giving it a quick tap on the handle while pushing on te tile with my left hand.

i think i might keep it :yikes:

it takes time as i said score tile place breaker down firm on tile and lean on larger of cut when cutting on diagonal same thing unless in half then push own with hands on both sides at same time it gets easier with practice
