Discuss having trouble using new sigma in the UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.
Its a shame because its a great cutter, i know a tiler who a few years back got a sigma 93 , he couldnt get to grips with it and stuck it in his garage , i told him how to use it and practice with old tiles , once he got the knack he couldnt believe how good a cutter the sigma was and now is a convert..I am now trying to sell it.
ive been practing with it and still cant get use to it, im scared everytime i have to use it. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, i know its not the cutter but i feel that its just not the best tool for me.
Im going to go with a bigger model of what i have and whats familar with me: Ishii 660mm pro tradesman
Melbourne, Australia
Im in a place called Maribyrnong, NW suburbs.
Ill give the sigma another go today :mad2:
I was cutting 300 x 600 porcelain with it today and it was working well, i was just giving it a quick tap on the handle while pushing on te tile with my left hand.
i think i might keep it :yikes:
