It was on the radio today and Durham police say it is garbage and a silly rumour... they have more things to concentrate on than stopping drivers in this severe weather..

So IMO another stupid internet rumour.. probs started on Facebook..

If I got stopped for that I would just tell him or her to get stuffed and do something worthwhile and then drive off. Pathetic if its true.

police have launched an investigation into the officer's conduct.

This officer took it upon himself to issue this warning..

All i heard was Durham police have better things to do..
