I am Mike and I have moved to the UK from France about 2 years ago.
Just bought a 1940's semi detached house that has not been redecorated since the late 70s, so loads to do .
As is the tradition in the family we do as much as we can ourselves. Not got much experience so get most info/advice from my dad, back in France. But building techniques and what is done over there are quite different , so getting as much as possible from the forums..
Anyhow, looking forward to share experience on here,
