Hello & Welcom Whitetie, another possibility would be to install under floor heating. Yep, it's a more expensive option, but well worth it. The height would be built up with foam insulation boards (cheaper than backerboards). Then lay the heating element. Then cover with self levelling compound, then addy............finally your tile. Do a forum search for UHEAT (the under floor heating experts). Good luck. Sean
