A contractor I had hired (no longer in business), installed purple drywall in my bathroom, then installed the alcove tub afterwards...as in the tub does not go up to/rest against the studs. I was planning on using the Schluter kerdi membrane before I tile but now I'm unsure on what to do at the tub lip interface. Typically, from what I've seen, the tub is against the studs, and the backerboard either comes to the top of the lip or overhangs the lip, neither of which I have. Any advise or links are greatly appreciated.....no, ripping it out and starting from scratch isn't an option. Thank you
