can you not build the plynths out to sit just behind the cupboard doors?
I usually recommend going for a contrast if you really want to keep the original tiles. i.e remove tiles nearest the unit and fit same size different colour e.g. dark brown.
Personally I would take all the tiles up and replace with new. ............
That was my first idea, even before I installed the base units, but I thought it would be just too much hassle and floor tiling is one of my least favourite pastimes - next down the list to having wisdom teeth pulled :yikes:
Besides, we actually like the colour.
There *must* be somebody out there who recognises these tiles?

No not really, the life span of a tile design/style is very short , hence the reason I tell my clients to have a spare box for such cases.....not that they listen !
