HELP NEEDED - Filling holes in walls

Hi there, could really do with help/advice about filling in those little holes (up to 5mm deep) that you end up with when old tiles are taken off the bathroom wall surrounding the bath and you don't have time to skim as my friend wants it done in a day/2 days.
Also we took the wood panelling off from around the bath and at either end of the bath there's a gap back to brickwork about 15mm deep and roughly 100mm high by 600mm across. Really don't have the budget or space for aquapanel to cover the whole wall(v little space behind taps) so could I just use bonding plaster or something to fill in the space?

Where possible use a rapid set tile adhesive, the bagged stuff. It will be ok to tile over in a few hours. Just fill the shallow holes with a paint scraper.
The deeper hole will need building up in a few layers

Do Not use bonding plaster you can't tile on it, if your in a rush then i would use rapidset adhesive, mix the adhesive as you would for a floor then fill in the holes you don't need to make it flush with the plaster just as long as its not above the plaster (high spots) it sets in 24 hours but you can tile over it in around 3 to 4 hours if its not too deep,

You can use plasterboard to build this area out...dot & dab it with the rapidset you might be using on the walls...

Hi there, after your advice have decided to use aquaboard as the massive hole the width of the bath is right where the wall meets the bath,taps end.
Will dot n dab as suggested using bag of rapidset and also thinking to join/make board more flush to rest of wall by using the rapidset around the edges too? Sound OK?

Great, just need to check, as the holes are up to 2cm in places so need 2 goes with the rapidset, do I leave the first bonding layer of rapidset for 3 hours THEN apply a thicker coat so it's just about flush with the existing wall ie 6 hours in total before tiling?
Also, if I'm priming it both times I take it I've got to leave that up to 30 mins to dry?

you won't have to leave the first coat 3hrs..just long enough for it to set up a bit then apply next coat and then leave to totaly dry......and yes.!! leave the primer to dry first..usually 15 to 30 mins as you say......good luck....
