Help needed with marble tiles

well with regards to the tiles cutter.i have a cheap b&q job with a diamond cutting disk ,but i think im going to invest in a good cutter because i have alot to tile ,then i sell it on on ebay when im done.what do you recommend?.

You can hire one you know.. most hire comps do tile saws..

Or buy one from ebay and the sell it on when done.

im going to get a new water cooled tile cutter,what do you think is the best one to buy considering its only for diy,the tiles are 10mm thick

the bigest tile i have fitted so far was 8 inch

another hurdle to clime is that im tiling floor to ceiling for the first time and i would like some guidance on how to get the tiles to meet above the window and door frame .

The best wet cutter around imo, is the DeWalt 2400. But for a one off you could use a cheap flatbed ie: Vitrex from Topps, they do a cheap bridge saw for just over £100. Or as Dave says hire one. Good luck

yeah getting tiles to meet at the top of windows can go pair shape.If you can run a course below the window and then follow the level very carefully when working up the sides,but also measure the course below the window to give you an idea of how far apart the tiles on iether side of the window should be at the top.So if the window is about 8 tiles wide for example measure 8 tiles on the bottom course and transfer that measurement to the top.Even when your spirit level is showing level there may be 2mm discrepencies iether way.Also use slow setting adhesive so that if there are slight discrepencies with the final tiles pacings you can even it out through all the spacings on the tiles above the window.I just use a laser level and dont have any problems anymore..

thanks,im looking to invest in the new dewalt laser level,it does virtical lines so like you said ill run the line up the wall either side to the correct gap.
theres alot more to this than meets then you realise
