powerbook

sorry if has been asked before.

i am going to lay 3.5m2 of devimat on to cement based thermal board on top of WBP plywood on top of original floorboards. i was going to go straight from UFH cables to ceramic floor tiles with the flexible adhesive but after reading on here a SLC seems best. my questions then.

1. pls advise a suitable SLC. i am only doing one room (just a DIYer) and am not bothered about ease of application (as its just the one job!). but i dont want to buy the wrong thing.

2. flexible tile adhesive. i have no idea which one to buy. since i have thermal board underneath do i need a cement one? something from SCREWFIX would be best as one is near me so a link to a suitable product would be really helpful!

thanks again

Hi there Powerbook

I put down a lot of tiles in my time and off course i have taken up alot of tiles in my time. i can asure you there is not one addy that will flex in the way you may think it will. you dont want flex in your addy. if you want movement, make sure you leave enough expansion around the perimetre of your installtion. this is where you use silli-- cone. Good luck Mate you can do it.

Best regards

Al
