Help with tiling on board.

I am shortly going to diy refit my bathroom. Bath is being removed and I am installing a 1700 * 800 shower. I have tiled 4 bathrooms before and also 4 kitchens. I have a number of questions but will ask in small doses.

I intend to create a stud wall off one of the walls using water resistant plaster board in the general area and aquapanel in the shower area.

The wall tiles are 260 by 300 ceramic.

1. Do I need to treat the aquapanel before tiling. What do you recommend.
2. Same question for the plasterboard. I have never tiled on plain plasterboard.
3. Would a ready mixed adhesive be suitable for this size tle on board.

You will need to prime the plasterboard,mapei primer g or similar.As for adhesive use a single part flexible,mapei keraflex or similar.I"m sure someone will correct me if this is incorrect. Good luck.

I very rarely use ready mixed adhesive. I'd use a standard setting single part flexible adhesive if I were you. I wouldn't bother with moisture resistant plasterboard as if you prime it, it will delay the setting time of your addy, just use normal 12.5mm plasterboard and prime with the appropriate primer for your addy. Your aquapanel won't need priming but you'll need to tape the joints with wterproof tanking tape.
