i really do get bemused by your comments at times! ..I'm not guilty of work like that..professional tiler or not...
' and I'd go as far as to say my work has got more professional thank to this site.
Now did I quote you ?
No. So where is the guilt now. 🙂.
No but we know you well enough now to be indirectly, directing it at someone...your wasted as a tiler..a politician or solicitor more like :8:
I don't think anyone on here has a problem with multi-trades. What they do have a problem with is people who profess to be multi-trade, when they may have stuck a few 10x10s on a splashback at home, now means they can go ahead and tile a full bathroom or wetroom. Half the problem they have is that they don't have the correct tools. They would not go out and maybe spend £2-300 on tools and only get one job, so therefore they are NEVER going to get the same finish no matter how multi-skilled they are!!!
This applies to ALL trades. Ok so I could put an additional socket on a ring main in my own house. Would I do it in a customers? No I would not. If I was Part P, different matter, then I would be qualified to carry out that work
agreed but its not fair on capable multi trades that contribute here, leaving me aside, that are tilers that plumb etc...and are dam good at it...Alastair to name but one..I'm wondering if there is a hint of jealousy from pro tilers that feel the need to attack some because they can multitrade..including having part p...anyway we diverse...time for my lasagne and cider..then a kip ready for a bathroom refit tomorrow !
