Sounds like the wood substrate has absorbed the moisture from ,pva,adhesive & grout & is now starting to deflect, either that or it's drying out with reversed effect. Anyhow all timber based materials react to some extent, to moisture or heat on one face,lessened by thickness & composition.( Sorry didn't mean to sound egg sucking)
