Hi and Wet Saw or Cutter for porcelain

Hi Everyone,
Haven't posted before and cant believe how helpful everyone is on here.
I have a fair amount of DIY experience and previously used a dia. 180mm diy wet saw or diy cutter. However latest job seems to have extra hard porcelain when I tested the saw.
I am using 60x30 tiles and have about 25 linear metres to cut. I wonder am I better buying a "snap" cutter (a basic 60cm rubi and excuse my not knowing the correct name) or am I better buying a £60 diamond blade. I am thinking I'll be driven mad by the lack of speed if I try to use the wet saw.

get down to topps they are selling the "big clinker" for £70 will cut through these no probs! save you a lot of time

Most porcelain with flat surfaces cut well with the rubi cutters and a new wheel, but you may need a wet cutter for 'L' shaped cuts. Most tile distributors hire out 600mm cutters for £10-£20 a day - CTD do.

Thanks Everyone. I'll try and find a cutter so. Unfortunately live in Ireland with a lot higher prices (and no Topps) Sorry to reply with a question but will a Rubi Speed do the job on 10mm Porcelain?

Hi Andrew,i cut 60x30 porcelain for breakfast with my sigma cutters,i have a 63cm and a 93cm so no probs here,can you not get a lend of a good cutter? what part of Ireland are ya in??

hi Joe,
I live in North Dublin. I'm afraid I don't have the contacts to scrounge a loaner. I've a moral aversion to hiring because it means being under a time limit and besides buying a good tool means I have it for next time! (Within reason of course)
All I need is to find a good source, Don't mind going to Northern Ireland as I work up that direction, and my better half works in Ballymount and that's one place that you can buy anything.
