hi.. really need some help please

wish I had read this before I had my kitchen floor tiled!! took me a year to decide what i wanted on the floor and finally opted for 600x600 polished porciline tiles. Did not remove the wax before laying, as suggested. Cleaned after laying with heavy duty tile cleaner (qep) then sealed with inpregnator sealer (qep)... now my lovely floor is full of smears and foot prints!!! I've read advice here and buffed it 4 times now with a clean soft cloth but it still looks the same. Its being grouted in 2 days time...PLEASE HELP!!!

Not heard of QEP products but it sounds to me like the sealant was left to dwell too long before it was cleaned off. I fear you may have to start again. Try LTP Grimes to clean off the sealant and then reseal with one of LTP's (not sure which one) impregnating sealers.

Welcome to the forum. As above best to start again. When you applied the sealer did you remove excess sealer with a cloth or did you let it sit on the tile and allow to dry?

you should clean polished porcelain tiles which been factory waxed with lithofin wexa, when tiles completely dry seal them with lithofin fz impregnator, leave sealer to dry no more then 20 min. then clean them with dry cloth very well, let it completely dry, then grout the tiles and complete the sealing process ones more

Welcome along to the forum. As mentioned above, use LTP grimex to strip the floor back then reseal following the instructions on the back of the bottle. LTP online will help you choose the right sealer for your tiles, heres a link <title>404 Not Found

Hello and welcome..

Apply some more sealer in small stages/areas at a time this will liven up the excess sealer and buff off immediately , do this till the whole floor is done..

hi all,
a massive thanx for all your help and advice. FYI, i just buffed the tiles (about 4 times) had them grouted and sealed the grout with a small brush. they look great!!!
