I am renovating my bathroom and have spent some time reading various posts on here as I am about to tile my bathroom/shower room.
I will be tiling the walls with honed and filled travertine.
I will be tanking the shower area, before tiling.
I have had the walls reclad with plasterboard after removing all previous tiles , along with clumps of the old plasterboard.
the shower is 1200 x 900 with two fixed glass screens.
the floor will be tiled with ceramic tiles onto 18mm ply securely screwed to the joists with extra noggins, there is no discernible deflection.
What is the best tanking system to use and what adhesive should i use.
Do i need to prime the ply or plasterboard?
thanks in advance for any advice
