Hi, happy new year to everyone

Been "lurking" for a while and really should have introduced myself sooner :surrender:

Not a tiler or even a tradesman, just looking to do my own work around the house, if i ever get to the stage where I've got the ability and skill to do the odd job then great.

Recently did a course at Nett which I thought was great.

I'll apologize now for any stupid question that I might post

Thanks Dave,

Start on the kitchen next week, only splashbacks but the wife turned up with
4x 4" ceramic tiles, uneven edges and bevelled corners(if this makes sense).

I know they're meant to look "rustic"with slightly uneven grout lines but i dont fancy trying to fix them by "eye" without them looking like a one eyed drunk threw them up :mad2:

Any tips..

Just take your time mate...that format of tile usually does need spacing by eye so to speak... try not to space them too close together as the larger size ones might not go in....
Centre all focal points and have fun......and dont put more adhesive on the wall that you cant cover in about 15/20mins or it starts to skin over and you won't get good contact....

let us know how you get on and maybe a few pics .....
