Here's the pub at the bottom of my road circa 1955. This pub is now about four times the size and owned by Chef & Brewer.

That meandering Road running past it is the A25 between J6 of the M25 and Redhill....how things change.

the hills at top centre (the ones in sunshine) of my mates pic are Langdale Pikes, the one to the right is Harrison Stickle and that's what my eldest lad is named after.

My hometown, alnwick is just as nice. The trip to rothbury, where gazza showed up with chicken and a fishing rod, is stunning !
