How many mts coverage of addy from a standard size tub

Hi,
Can you all let me know how much meterage coverage we should get from a standard tub of adhesive, as every job we quote for, we always end up using more adhesive than we think.Most jobs we come across the walls are normally way out, hence we use more to keep them straight.Id say 3-4 mts out of a tub.
Also,by using powdered addy,will it go further,I know it depends on wall substrates etc,but could you give us an average please.

I price up 4 to 5 sqm per 15l tub of readymix, but I've had as much as 8 sqm out of one.

Just finally finished a tub of addy that I have used over 3 different jobs, and paid in full by the customers 3 times over too

Fair play to ya Fekin,cant be bad,I thought around the 4-5 mtr mark,but lately been getting about 3, time for a rethink????:huh2:

Around the 4/5 mtr mark is about right from a 15ltr tub..any less than that then you must be using it to thick and need to switch to cement based..

i.e. rough walls or using a bigger notch trowel will cause less mtrge from a tub....

If in doubt switch to bagged addy.........

4/5M2 is standard and yes, this is dependant on the notch of the towel and the condition of the walls. Bagged adhesive is probably 3 times what you would pay for a tub {but obvioulsy i do not know hom much you pay}, and will go further. It always pays to check walls before you price. This way you can let your customer see how bad things are and its then easier to get the money for the extra adhesive and at least you have enough to do the job.

Hello bluevin, I´ve checked for you several ready to use dispersion addy data sheets (Ardex, Hasit, Bal, Weber, Murexin), nearly all saying the same:
1,5 - 3,2 kg/m2 depensing on ground eveness and tile.

sontex gear is 1.5kg per mm of bed thickness so roughly 5m2 per tub

i always price at 5m2 per tub and some u win when u have some left and some u lose when u dont

I use Biscem mainly and it comes in 15ltr buckets. I get between 10m2 and 13m2 and thats using a brand new 6mm Rubi trowel.
The plasterers around our way must be better than i thought :lol:
