anybody got a formula for working out how much addy I would need for laying 160m2 durabase?:20:

about 6m2 to a 20 kg bag so about 27 bags m8 imp

4mm trowel max to be used...you don't want to be filling the channels through the fleece....

Around 8 mtrs a bag...thats what i get out of mapei gear.

if the floor is flat, or you are self leveling afterwards...

durabase can be laid with the smallest trowel you have (3mm?)
and you can do a wet mix.. i would get 10 - 12m2 out of 20kg.

going to look at it tomorrow dagger, I know some of the guys on the project and theyre top notch guys, so hopefully the floor will be nice and flat, altho not sure what substrate is yet

as you know doug, substrate changes some of the rules! but a decoupler on an even surface (concrete or ply) can still be laid (and should!) with the smallest trowel you have, i use a 3mmx3mm square notch for laying decoupler...its like mosaic fixing, the addy goes for miles!

personally i use a wet mix of keraquick grey...
