Started my first job since having me hernias fixed. Went to The cheshire show yesterday so did'nt manage to get to tile giant to get my addy, i was up late this morning so i had to call at TCH on the way to work last time i went in, about 2 months ago, they were selling excell bond rapid set flexy white at £13.99, so i got 3 bag £53.97,£17.99 a bag, its no dearer than any other addy, as every bodies put up prices, i was told. Where do they get off charging that, is what i thought. :furious3:So a bit late on i done a bit of phoing round and the results from dearest to cheapest were, bal, excell bond, topp set, then good old mapei kera quick the cheapest around. The lesson i'v learned, always make time for tile giant

I called into my local tile giant a few days ago for the first time and met Adam the manager. Had a chat and a coffee and their prices are very competitive especially on Mapei products. I know where I will be going in future.

I was in spain last year with my manager friend from Creta ceramics, 20kg bag of grey...how much? answers on a reply please, you will be shocked, someone should fill a van and bring it over, you would make a fortune, answers in euro's

There will be some extra discount for TF members. At store level, we don't know what it is yet.

It worked out at around 12 euros, at the time that was about £6, as far as cement content went well I dont know but the english fixers were using it and had no problems with it.......I expect it was a slow setter though because of the heat out there. One of the factory managers showed us around, fascinating to watch the tiles being made. From the raw materials being mixed through to them becoming tiles they are not touched by hand, everything is mechanical, shaped, dried in massive kilns/ovens, screen printed is what i can only describe as the next process, they were so close to looking like natural stone, then boxed and onto pallets, from start to finish about 45 minutes, you have to see it to believe it. It cost the factory pennies to make them.
