Have been to look at 2x wetrooms in fact they weren't the only wetrooms:yikes: They are both badly leaking threw the ceilings, An impey tray had been used and tilesafe membrane. The tiles on the tray had not had envelope cuts done and it had just been tiled flatish the adhesive on top off the tray in the drain area was just over an inch thick and full off voids!
The tilesafe membrane had been turned up the walls but there was no seal between the upstand and the piece on the tray! and the tilesafe had only been installed 100mm past the tray under the tiles! They had also used 6mm ply on the floor upto the tray! The water had been running over the tray and tilesafe area onto the rest off the floor and running down the walls threw the ceilings below:thumbsdown: Enjoy the pics:yikes:

Bedding up on a shower tray to avoid enveloped cuts, classic.

That's why the entire floor in any bathroom, not just a wetroom, should be properly tanked, and the walls in the shower + 1 metre either side (or entire wall if an external wall).

Eventually these basic principles will become regulations when enough insurance companies get fed up paying out for water damage repairs caused by cowboy installations like that. Disgrace.
