Well let me run this by everyone, I turn up at a house last night 18.30 on the dot as requested by the costumer, to price for the laying of black ceramic tiles in her kitchen 3 x 4m not the biggest of jobs in the world. Anyway she had been to home base and they supplied the customer with everything she needed tiles, and a tube of evo adhesive that cost £27, explained about needing to but plywood down and all the other stuff. She has phone me today to say that out of 4 tillers that quoted her that night I was the only one that mentioned putting ply down and felt I was a conman? She is going to get the job done for £100? What the hell goes on, told her to switch her computer on and goole away.

Oh and home base told he that the adhesive they supplied is specially for laying tiles straight on to floorboards?

Send her a qoute to remove and replace badly laid tiles at 3 times the cost and say you may need this later and you have no problems putting things right later

Just remember that the customer always knows best, and it's her that is doing you a favour :lol:. As for Homebase :lol: :lol:, anyone that thinks a DIY store knows better than a full time tradesmen isn't worth wasting time on.

Hopefully, your future clients will be more appreciative of your professional advice.
