When things come down in price isnt that normally due to supply and demand?

ie demand goes up the cost of making and distributing goes down so the price goes down.

Not in the case of Marmox I don't think. They had full market share when UFH took off and their boards were 200 - 300% more than what they are now.

Now they have less market share (a lot less) and they've HAD to reduce their prices to keep their customers.

When I was supplying underfloor heating I used to study the brands stocked with all my competitors and marmox was being stocked less and less. Varme now do their own, Warmup now do their own. So their are a lot competing with the same gear.

That's what bought the price down, not more demand.

i dont know much about u value, but what i do know is the boards from uheat met spec for a polyplumb waterbased underfloor heating install, infact the rep wanted to know where i got these boards!

there u value equivilent was 50mm thick the ekoboard was 10mm..

in essence horses for courses, and as usual i have piccy or two.

i want a bigger discount Uheat for this reccomendation!:lol::lol:

and after:

so, non reinforced boards 10mm thick easier to cut than cement faced/backed..better u value than the appropiate equivilent and around a fiver a board!

that said, personally i would not use them with electric ufloor, i like the cement face, i installed 60mm of sand and cement screed on to these boards, so no problems!

okay i will admit it, i do love a photo or two..

heres the floor going in:

and here is the kitchen once we had finished (you can just make the floor out).

it was a perfect solution to this problem of height restriction, worked great and as its a pals house i will be there on sunday as his first child is getting christend, forty or more people will be in the kitchen looking for beer!

if it all falls apart i will let you know!:lol::lol::lol:
