I agree about their customer service, I got a free i-pod that my mum got for ordering business cards for her company in UK, but it didn't work so went in to the apple store in Oslo and they gave me a replacement on the spot.
As for phones, Nokia or bust. Got a samsung at xmas, like it but just keep a UK sim in it, prefer my Nokia. Saying that I've never had a go on an i-phone.
what samsung and what uk sim?

Galaxy-Y with an 02 pay as you go sim that I had in UK when I lived there. Changing it though, keeping number but sister-in-law will have it under giff gaff or something, she reckons it's miles cheaper to run in UK but not abroad which I don't care about as I have a Norwegian contract here and the UK phone is just for when I'm home around 4 or 5 times a year

If you have purchase an IPhone then you will never look at another phone again.

You are not getting just a phone you are getting a mini computer.
The mini computer bit is wasted on me mate, I am not a computer fan, only got one when I came here to Skype family and friends. read UK news and try to embrace the computer age but I don't know one end of a PC from the other. Only got one application on my 2 year old Nokia smart phone, and that's Skype! I am on facebook but I don't want it on my phone, I'd be better off with a phone that just made and recieved calls with SMS texting turned off, cos that's another thing I just don't do

My new I-phone is just over 1 hour old now, welcomed into the world after much deliberation as to which route to go down. Cos I've got a Mac and I-pod it seemed the sensible route and cos, my step-daughter wants me to use Facetime? That's my next job, trying to set it up.

Iphone all the way, really easy to use, but do get a protective case, they are a bit delicate,if you run a mac they integrate seamlessly.
Mine is my phone, my camera but above all my stereo. Have a JVC head unit in the van with a USB port, plug the ipod in and there you go you have all your tunes, plus the phone is charged.

I've fitted a parrot kit in the missus mini that has the iPhone connection too, as well as a stereo jack and micro USB. Only £150 new off eBay.

I've got a plastic case that covers the back and sides and then a screen protector for the front. Couple of quid of eBay and I just buy a new one when it gets too scuffed.

Samsung galaxy s2

My other half has just got the s2, I've gotta say I'm super impressed with it, lovely phone easy to use. I'll never have anything other than the iPhone now though, brilliant for everything, as for the cackberry, anyone who says that they are better than the iPhone is basically saying, 'I'm too tight to pay for an iPhone/iPhone contract', they are utter garbage, over complicated backwards technology only suitable for arranging a riot.

I bought a screen protector in store from Apple & i must admit they are well worth the money, get them to fit it though, you wouldnt even know you have one fitted.

I went for years buying them from e-bay but i wont be fitting another cheap one.
