I'm a bit quite aswell which is pissing me off,it makes all the good money I've made not seem that great when its spread out for days when I'm not working.

Might be something to do with putting kids back to school, usually works out at least £100 per child when you buy shoes, lunchbox, stationary, new uniform and sports kit.
If you havemore than 1 kid its an expensive month.

Just keep plugging away lads:wink_smile:
got a few weeks work booked in and 3 jobs to price tom..

kids expensive...i'll say and i've got 5 all at school

Just wondered if things have picked up for anyone? I'm getting no work at the moment at all.

I have been out this week putting out leaflets for Tiling and also for my old job gardening just to try and get by. Had calls for Gardening but not TIling.

I can't understand why I have no work. The first 3 or 4 months I didn't have time to turn round I was so busy but now...... nothing! My attitude and adverts etc haven't change.

I don't know how long some of you guys (and ladies) have been tiling but it does take a while to get established. It doesn't all happen overnight.I personally have been tiling for almost 30 years and have rarely got less than 2 months work in advance. That is all domestic and private work.I do not do site work. There will always be sudden influxes of tilers as in any trade but a lot of them won'hack it.They will dissapear as soon as they arrive. My phone probably rings at least every night and I actually give work away to other tilers in my area (only the good ones) because I can't do everything.Whilst I sympathise if people are short of work all I can say is,if you are genuine, hardworking and absolutely dedicated to tiling then things will get better.Remember, always do a first class job.It is more important than the money itself.I suppose it could depend on the area you come from as to how much work is available.Hopefully some of you will pick up as Christmas approaches.

Easy Dan i don't want you to go hurting those typing fingers of yours, easpecially now my website's ranking so well, you just stay in the office and leave the thuggery to some of the less intelligent members. Ivegots.... KILL!

I'm almost offended there Wivers. Thuggery, less intelligent.I'll have you know in my younger days I was a member of Her Majesty's Royal Air Force. The R.A.F. guys are known for being intelligent gentlemen............Except for my Regiment as we were known as 'ROCK APES' probably cause we were the less intelligent thuggish element of the air force:wink_smile: lol

I've had a blinding year up until now, where it has slacked off a bit. But, it's like that some times. Especially now, where people have spent on summer holidays, timmy had to have new shoes for school, and now their saving for christmas.

My pet hate is when I'm working, why do I always get those calls where a tiler has let them down, or they want it done now! And when I want work, I get no such calls! Funny old life.
