It is New Tool Tuesday! - New Tools Other Tilers Have Bought Recently

I was using old paint or tub adhesive buckets but got fed up of them cracking so thought I’d give the Rubi bucket a go

Never seen these before so I thought I'd give it a go.... 20171024_111746.jpg

As a DIY'er and taking inspiration from lots of forums (fora?) I decided that I really needed a spiked roller for SLC £23, the idea of a pin leveller appealed but they are silly money (£85 so I invested about 10 mins and say 50p into my DIY version! Seemed to work.

Pin levellers won’t really help you level a floor, just help smooth it as they follow the general undulations of the floor imo.

We are at risk of retailers upping their prices on Tuesdays at this rate 😀
We will have to change the name of th thread😉

trowels are £14 to buy and bucket around same price, it’s just what offer they got on
So the bucket is £14 and the trowel is normally £14 too?.... jeepers, I can get those buckets for £2.45 (same type too) and the trowels are nasty and can get similar for £4.50 from Stax trade centres.

I just bought something I have wanted for years.
My wife will kill me when (if) she finds out.
...you'll have to wait until Tuesday to take the micky out of me though! 😉
