i have two special tiles one looked very very old at a car-boot so i bought it ,
and the other was when i was backpacking in India donkey's year's ago it was a tile i bought at the taj-mahal it was an example of the inlayed marble-work in the shape of a flower that had been done on the taj!! do any of you guy's collect stuff like this ??

I have an original 1974 6inch H&R Johnsons Opal White ceramic tile with my name and a 1974 calender printed on.
It cost 50p then and is worth about 0p now - sentimental or what!

Seriously though i have a nice collection of beer glasses, i have a big top corner shelf absolutely full !! i need a clear out and keep the best.
I brought 2 beauties home from Germany in '94, but one got smashed as i actually do drink from them,lol.

I used to collect star wars toys, all the stuff my mum couldnt afford to buy when i was a nipper. Sold it all now and for a healthy profit.

A close nurse friend of mine had a terminally ill 13 year old lad (leukemia) in her ward at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children (Edinburgh) who collected business cards. She and another two nurses started a campaign for people to send him cards to break the world record for the largest collection. They managed to do it, had it recognised by Guinness and got his pic in the local paper before he died. It was over twenty years ago but I think it came to over thirty thousand.
