Amazingly the UFH works Rob! It won't when I rip it all out, just waiting to get the all clear from client to put it all in the bin and start again.

Could you fill the gaps In the blobs with levelling compound and the tile on top?? Just a thought......

Floor is about 10 m2, problem with filling in, is the insulation boards under the wire have failed as well and are bouncing like a trampoline, I'm not 100% sure what the substrate is, I suspect a floater.

God imagine the insulation boards, i bet they're not even fixed down.
The fixer was half right, he spread the walls with a notched trowel, and then dotted on top.

i now know why there cheaper than us . price with material and only use half or less than we would. saving them loads on materials

I went out a few weeks ago to look at a few loose tiles.... After a 5 min Inspection I had to tell customer there 65m2 floor had failed. Adhessive application method was serration with blobs on top! If your a blobber just blob, the serated adhesive does not even get touched! I think they only kid themselves by serrating, might help them sleep at night who knows!?
