hi there everyone and salutations to all from new zealand.what a very good thing that is happening here.i've enjoyed the banter going to and fro and i must say what an informative people you are.
we dont seem to have such a website down in nz there is of course the aust. forums not too far away.i've been having a look at whats going on in our world of tiling lately. due to a serious workplace accident my career path has taken a very sharp corner and towards a very different direction, and now find myself off the tools and in a position of taking care of those on the tools. so here i am soaking up as much as i can that will benefit some of the guys over here.
thats enough of me then. i saw this thread and was thinking about this particular situation. installing a temporary tiled surface on a showroom floor.in doing so i came across a couple of links in a us tile forum that might be useful
TAVY Tools, broken link removed be worth a look but i was thinking why the owner of the building wouldnt want the floor upgraded maybe he doesnt realise or appreciate how good it will look when finished.a suggestion then might be to take him to a place that has a large tiled area that looks a million bucks. you never know it might be enough to change his mind.then if thats not enough offer to tile a small area where the laminate flooring is crappy and somewhere that is practical for you if he still refuses.once he sees it down in his building it might just be enough to turn him.its worth a crack other wise a temp floor over dodgy laminate might be an expensive risk to take whatever you do i hope it all goes well for you
