MICK the Tiler

600x600 porcelain takes patience they cannot be rushed only allow 7m2 laid per day per man If you have done more than this you have had a very good fix day. You need small margin gaps around door frames usually the same gap as you have on main tiles maybe a bit smaller, and as grumps has said this is to avoid tiles cracking if the door slams shut moving the door frame.

Sometimes you need to stand your ground with clients you are the one in control of the situation you have to warrant the work, just don't lose it do it in a polite but firm voice.

Hope the next one runs more smoothly for Ya m8

Figure eights, circles... Essentially the same, as you're still doing circles... As long and you don't skip smoothing/evening the grout out, and go straight to washing, it's all up to personal preference, and what you feel works in the given situation, as not all grouts and tiles are the same...

I normally do the same thing as Varley; go over the entire thing with a circular action and then I clean off in straight lines, top to bottom.

clays mate every day is a school day allow plenty of time for the setout (check it check it again then lay ) so what it seems has happened you are trying to cut slithers with the wet cutter to fill the small gaps on the edges of the room, which takes ages on every cut (and is soul destroying and the owner of the house (wife) is probably watching you you cut these slithers and thinking you dont know what your doing ) but when you work it out in your head you know if you had set it out right in the first place they wouldnt be steam coming out of your ears and it wouldnt have taken as much time
