As beam says its just a village, Royston is nearest town, a small old market town with a few pubs, the nearest life is probably Hertford which is buzzing weekends or North to Cambridge.

okay sounds silly but ever thought about high pressure water blaster ive seen it used on painted render (shop front) and know if presure is to high can nock the crap out of render , talking industrial cleaner not car wash material ???????????:8:
