John Newton

Anyone got any experience with John Newton Membranes - uncoupling, tanking etc etc. Think it looks like Dural gear but not sure.

Not one I have heard Of Ajax, a local tile shop does the US one, can't remember the name. But it's blue other than that it seems same as dural CI/ Ditra etc

Not sure guys. I was approached today by John Newton Membranes with a view to tying up some work together. Just wanted to get a feel for how well known they are. Looks like I have an answer of sorts......

looked at some pics and this one is yellow like dural and has round dimples and a fabric mesh like dural.

Did have a sample at one time, it's about 8mm deep but as you say it's almost identical to dural

I have been told that there are only 2 manufacturers of the uncoupling mat, one is like Ditra with the square dimples and the other has round 1s like the Dural and these are sold out to companies like the above. Dont know if thats any help to you but I thought that it was worth knowing. :smilewinkgrin:
