Johnsons have just opened a clearance warehouse near me at Gatwick selling off all the old end of lines and seconds. Had to go and have a look round. Some really cheap and ugly tiles in there I can tell you! Would explain why its opened up

That'll be because their research shows the demographics of the area to be low to middle class living above their means with big mortgages and no spare money to upkeep their properties with quality products!
Or it's closer to the channel ports and they want to offload the EU products as soon as possible.

Consistently the worst quality tiles I have to work with. This weeks tiles are white 600x300s.....bowed along the face and along the length and two different shades.

It's a real shame as Johnsons used to be a really good company. Hope they pull it together and stop importing tosh!

No wonder they are losing money, their tiles just keep getting worse every time I use them..

I agree stef their tiles are shocking and the prices aint exactly cheap either

They used to be a leading firm based in stoke. Along with all the names you see from stoke for pottery, at armatage shanks, Wedgwood, etc

The moment they import is the moment they lost control and its a real shame.

Luckily a lot of it is coming back pottery wise but not for tiles for a while.
